That one almost immediately developed the same problem. And a lot of wasted time with customer support, who seemed clueless, I was sent a label to return it I included a note that a valuable disc was stuck inside and requested that they return it since there was no way I could find to get it out.
I got a new player but of course they never returned the disc which was one disc of s multi disc set do not easy to replace. That unit began having the exact same problem the the other two had.
I lost far too much time and money on this to bother with another replacement. I tried all the reset procedures, power cord, press eject and the multiple buttons on the remote, etc and it would not eject my disk. I called Sony and they confirmed troubleshooting steps and advised they would replace it if I'm unable to do anything through my local Best Buy but they also stated that I would not be able to recover my DVD.
I'll go to the electronics store today and see if they have any further assistance that can be offered but am really displeased with this.
It is 2 phillips screws and the top cover slides off Then carefully lift up on the tabs on the sides and bottom and remove the front cover Now you can see the disc drive and if you carefully use a small flat screwdriver on the front tab and your fingernail on the side tab you can open the disc drive enough to grab your disc Just make sure you unplug the unit first And be careful on the inside of sharp edges etc Need help logging in?

That did not work. My player will not even turn off when I try and hold the power button. I have unplugged it but when I plug it back in, it is still stuck in the BluRay splash screen.
