Clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program. I would also suggest you to update all the motherboard drivers from the computer manufacturer's website and check if it helps. I had this problem, and the answer is stupidly simple. Windows 10 by default is set to use the integrated graphics on the CPU. I am on version 8. Also tried setting it to CPU.
None of the settings fixed the chop. Does that sound like the same setting? Updated to latest version only a couple weeks newer and it did not fix the problem.
Am now on version Details required : characters remaining Cancel Submit. I would suggest you to install the same driver in compatibility mode for previous version of Windows and check.

Not lacking in horsepower with a Falcon Northwest PC and twin video cards after upgrading to Windows 10 all my games that ran flawlessly in Windows 7 are now almost unplayable, even with the latest GeForce Experience NVidia drivers and after hours of research, reinstalling drivers and tinkering nothing has helped.
After the Win 10 update GeForce settings that were by default high are now low by default and fps are dismal on anything but the lowest graphic settings.
I like many aspects of Win 10 - this is not one of them. I very much like many aspects of Windows 10 and apologize for over reacting and making an absolute statement claiming all games are unplayable. Like so many previous operating systems it takes time to level the playing field.
